  • Laptop engulfed in flames with a cracked screen and burning keyboard.
    “My laptop caught fire.”

    Product Liability / Defect

Space heaters, laptops, tools, and everyday products that catch fire, break, or injure the people who trusted them. This is Kim’s main focus.

    “I was seriously hurt.”

Serious Personal Injury & Wrongful Death

When negligence or wrongful conduct causes a life-changing injury or death, the consequences extend far beyond the immediate event. Beck Law Center represents seriously injured people and families who have lost loved ones, helping them pursue accountability and meaningful compensation from those responsible.

Civil Claims for Assault & Abuse

Survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other intentional violence may have the right to pursue justice through the civil courts—even when criminal charges are never filed. Decades of Litigation Experience

Your lawyer. Not just your law firm.

Kimberly Beck brings 20 years of litigation experience to representing people who have been seriously harmed. After spending 13 years representing defendants, she chose to put that experience to work for plaintiffs.

At Beck Law Center, clients aren’t passed from one person to another or treated like case numbers. Kim believes you should know your lawyer, understand what’s happening in your case, and feel comfortable asking questions.

She combines the experience of a seasoned litigator with the personal attention of a small firm—because serious cases deserve both.

A major result: the Singulair litigation against Merck.

Kim was part of the team that reached a settlement with Merck Pharmaceuticals, the kind of outcome that shows what focused, experienced advocacy can achieve.

Why Beck Law Center?

Big-firm experience. Small-firm attention.

1

Experienced on both sides

Thirteen years representing defendants taught Kim how companies and their lawyers evaluate, defend, and resolve serious claims. She now puts that experience to work exclusively for plaintiffs.

2

Direct access to your lawyer

At Beck Law Center, you won’t wonder who is handling your case. Clients work directly with Kim and receive personal attention throughout their representation.

3

Selective by design

Beck Law Center is intentionally small. By accepting a limited number of cases, Kim can devote the time, preparation, and attention that serious litigation demands.

4

Prepared to take on powerful defendants

Large corporations, insurance companies, and well-funded defendants have substantial resources. Beck Law Center has the experience and determination to take them on.

Areas We Serve

One firm. Four states. One standard of advocacy.

    Common Questions

The things people ask Kim first.

Maybe—and you don’t need to figure that out before you call me. Part of my job is determining whether the law provides a remedy for what happened to you. Tell me what happened, and I’ll ask the questions I need to evaluate whether your situation is something Beck Law Center may be able to help with.

Nothing. Beck Law Center offers a free initial consultation for potential product liability, serious personal injury, wrongful death, and civil assault and abuse cases. There’s no obligation to hire the firm just because we talk.

Yes, you’ll work with me. Beck Law Center is intentionally a small firm, and I personally stay involved in the cases I accept. You may also work with other members of my team, but you won’t hire me and then wonder who your lawyer is.

That’s okay. I spent 13 years representing defendants, including large companies, before I began representing plaintiffs. I understand how companies and their lawyers approach litigation, and I’m comfortable handling cases against defendants with significant resources. The size of the company doesn’t determine whether I’m willing to take the case.

Possibly. A civil lawsuit is separate from a criminal prosecution. The fact that someone was never arrested, charged, or convicted does not necessarily prevent an injured person from pursuing a civil claim. If you’ve experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, physical assault, or other intentional harm, we can talk about whether you may have civil options.

Yes. Beck Law Center is based in Cincinnati, and I am licensed to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia. I represent clients throughout all four states, and many conversations and meetings can be handled by phone or video when that’s more convenient.

It depends. Some cases can be resolved without filing a lawsuit, while others require litigation and may take considerably longer. The seriousness of the injuries, number of parties, complexity of the evidence, court schedule, and willingness of the defendant to negotiate all affect timing. Once I understand your case, I can give you a better idea of what to expect.

First, we’ll talk about what happened. I’ll ask some questions to determine whether your situation is something the firm handles and whether I need additional information to evaluate it. If Beck Law Center is able to help, I’ll explain what comes next. If I’m not the right lawyer for your matter, I’ll tell you that too. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you call.
